7. Durham Cathedral
The Durham Cathedral is located in the city of Durham and features a beautiful Romanesque architecture, making it one of the most visited sites all over England. The cathedral was built during the late 11th and early 12th centuries and is currently considered a center for Christian worship. It is also part of the UNESCO World Heritage site and right behind the cathedral is where you can find a castle, an ancient Norman fortress that used to be the residence of the bishops of Durham.
