The mere fact, that people no longer live there give it an alluring beauty which is other worldly yet eerie at the same time. 1. Eilean Donan Castle
The Eilean Donan Castle is located exactly where the three lochs of Scotland meet. It was built during the medieval times and is one of the best known deserted places to be visited by tourists in Scotland. Till 2001 the castle was inhibited by only one person, however now it’s become a sort of a tourist attraction for many. It’s been used as a popular locale for many movies and even been used as a wedding venue.
