23. Kalmar Castle, Sweden
The Kalmar Castle is one of the major attractions in Sweden and it is a must visit due to its spectacular views. The castle was built during the twelfth century under the reign of King Magnus Ladulås. One of the most important political events in the history of Scandinavia took place in the castle and that was the formation of Kalmar union. Today, the castle is considered as Sweden’s best preserved renaissance structures and is open for viewing to the public. It is located in the town of Kalmar in Sweden.
