36. Cathedral of Siena, Tuscany
The Cathedral of Siena in Tuscany is a medieval Roman Catholic Church. The church is in honor to Santa Maria Assunta and was originally designed and completed in the year 1215 until 1263. The dome of the church rises from a hexagonal base along with supporting columns. The lantern right above the dome was added by the famous Italian designer, Gian Lorenzo Bernini. The church is a must see due to its magnificent design, where both the exterior and the interiors are constructed of greenish black and white marble in alternating stripes.
