17. Brussels Atomium, Belgium
The Brussels Atomium in Belgium is another spectacular sight in Europe that you should not miss to see when visiting Belgium. This building was originally constructed for the 1958 World Expo. The structure is made of stainless steel spheres that are interconnected so the entire form will have a similar shape of a unit cell. The structure is enclose with escalators and a lift to give access to the five habitable spheres that houses the exhibit halls as well as other public spaces.
