8. Mount Cook
Mount Cook is the highest peak of new Zealand, which together with some 27 other mountains go on to make the Southern Alps. There are multiple activities for you to choose from – fishing, boat rides, horse rides, trekking and hiking. In the winter season you can ski on the Tasman, New Zealand’s longest glacier. Within the national park are a range of accommodation options for those wishing to stay overnight.
