8. Topkapi Palace
The Topkapı Palace is a palace located in Istanbul, Turkey. It was the primary residence of the Ottoman Sultans for 400 years. This palace is not only a royal residence but also a setting for state occasions and royal entertainments. It is today a major tourist attraction of Istanbul which contains important holy relics of the Muslim world, including Muhammed’s cloak and sword. This palace became a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1985.
