5. Museo Nacional de Antropologia
In 1790, Mexico officially opened the country’s first natural history museum. The entire exhibition of the museum is divided into two major sections; on the second floor is an ethnographic section; on the ground – Archaeological. See the halls showing the “Teotihuacan”, “Toltec”, “Mexica (Aztecs)”, “Oaxaca”, “Maya”, etc. A total 23 rooms. If you want to see everything, do not expect to walk for one hour. See the world-famous exhibits – giant Olmec heads, which were discovered in the jungles of Veracruz and Tabasco, the famous Sun Stone monument, the so-called Aztec Calendar, as well as the treasures of the Maya civilization of Palenque and the Chichen Itza statue.
