7. Catedral Nueva, Cuenca
The colonial city of Cuenca is the country’s third largest city and Cathedral Nueva is the most sought after tourist attraction of the city. The construction of the cathedral began in the late 1800s and continued up over a century and the cathedral is most notable for its three immense domes, each covered in blue glazed tile imported from Czechoslovakia.
